Eligibility & Suitability Criteria

TUHF Summer Grants round is open to all staff within Tallaght University Hospital. Your project must focus on pushing the boundaries to provide exceptional healthcare to our community. We will support innovation and discovery that will ensure our patients experience is first class from the moment they seek care at TUH. Whether it be a small change in process improvement that can change patients experiences for the better, a new piece of technology or an innovative idea that can help redefine healthcare at TUH, we want to hear your ideas!

We’re looking for creative approaches to patient care and overall experience.

  • innovate or try new ways of working.
  • develop an existing activity where you have evidence that it has been successful, either by exploring ways to make it sustainable or by scaling it up in a cost-effective manner.
  • learn from a successful engagement activity delivered by you or others, and replicate it with a new audience, eg a different demographic or location.

THE SCHEME DOES NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR:

  • General appeals - assistance must be sought for clearly specified purposes.
  • Repayment of debts.
  • Tuition or student fees.
  • Medical costs.
  • Purchase of buildings or land.
  • Completed projects.
  • Employee Salaries.
  • Flights or accommodation.

If you have a team to deliver this, your team should have the right expertise and skill sets to develop and deliver your proposed project. This should be demonstrated in your proposal.

In your proposal, you must include:

  • the main outcomes you want to achieve during the project, the outputs (activities) you’ll undertake, and any longer-term impacts you hope your project will have.
  • the people you want to reach, and why you want to work with them.
  • previous activities, knowledge or learning that your proposal will build on.
  • an outline plan of how you will deliver the project.
  • how you’ll track if your project has been successful in achieving its outcomes.
  • how you’ll share what you’ve learned.

NOTE: Applications for equipment must be accompanied by a signed MPCE form, available from the Foundation Office or from the Clinical Engineering Office of Tallaght Hospital.

Closing date for all applications is 7th of July 2023.

All applications will go to the TUHF Grants committee for consideration and will be advised if successful or not by end of July 2023. TUHF Grants committee is a mix of TUHF and TUHF Board and executive.
