The Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Department at TUH requires a specialized SLT endoscopy chair. Join us in raising €9,000 to provide this essential equipment.
While our existing chair has provided support for vital nasendoscopy exams (A nasendoscopy exam is a medical procedure where a small tube with a camera is inserted through the nose to look inside the nose and throat. It is used by Speech and Language therapists to carryout voice and swallow examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders). We have identified a new chair that will help alleviate patients discomfort, prevent staff experiencing back strain and provide more effective head and neck support to our patients when undergoing this exam.
By contributing, you will:
Enhance patient imaging: Improve image quality during exams. By reducing neck overextension, this chair ensures the best possible imaging of patients improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.
Improve patient comfort and reduce strain: Say goodbye to discomfort! The chair's neck support alleviates patient discomfort, making the procedure more bearable for them. It also helps our dedicated SLTs by reducing back strain, enhancing their ability to provide optimal care.
Promote accessibility: Assist patients with reduced mobility in easily getting on and off the chair, reducing the risk of accidents.
Your contribution will impact around 520 patients annually. By providing comfort, improving diagnoses, and reducing strain, you can transform their experience and treatment outcomes.
Join us in acquiring the SLT endoscopy chair, every donation, no matter the size, helps us reach our €9,000 goal.
