The Easter Chick Ladies, a dedicated group led by Ann Carthy, have once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to supporting age-related healthcare and stroke services. Through their tireless efforts and fundraising initiatives, they have successfully raised over €16,000 at their stall located in Tallaght University Hospital over the recent Christmas period.

The Easter Chick Ladies have long been recognised for their remarkable contributions to the community, and this latest achievement further exemplifies their dedication to making a difference in the lives of others. Every cent raised by the group goes directly towards supporting vital healthcare services for the elderly and stroke patients.

In a heartwarming cheque handover at TUH, Professor Rónán Collins, Professor Seán Kennelly, and Professor Desmond (Des) O'Neill gratefully accepted the generous cheque on behalf of the hospital. Their presence underscores the significance of the Easter Chick Ladies' fundraising efforts in advancing healthcare initiatives that benefit countless individuals in need. Over the years they have raised an incredible  €114,000.

However, amidst the celebration of their success, the Easter Chick Ladies also remembered one of their cherished members, Pauline McDonnell who died shortly before Christmas. Pauline has been an integral part of the group, demonstrating exceptional leadership alongside Ann Carthy. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Pauline's support for age related healthcare services serve as an enduring legacy. As the Easter Chick Ladies continue, they pledged to honour Pauline's memory by remaining steadfast in their commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend and fellow Easter Chick Lady, Pauline McDonnell. Her passion, enthusiasm, and unwavering dedication to our cause have left an indelible mark on our hearts and the community we serve. While her presence will be greatly missed, her spirit will continue to inspire us as we carry on her legacy of compassion and generosity," said Ann Carthy.

The Easter Chick Ladies express their heartfelt gratitude to all supporters, volunteers, and donors who have contributed to their success.
